GEORGES-EMMANUEL SCHNEIDER
BARIS EXPERIENCE BAND
Georges was an early member of the Barış Experience Band, founded in 2014 by Ayhan Çoşkun as a tribute to legendary Turkish musician Barış Manço. The project goes beyond simply performing Manço’s music. Ayhan's vision is to carry the spirit of psychedelic rock and Anatolian rock into the present, creating an open musical collective centred on improvisation, jamming and collaboration.
The band regularly invites guest musicians and creates a space for musical exchange, while also being conceived as a project of peace and cultural connection. One of the highlights of the band’s early years was a concert in Ulm attended by Savaş Manço, Barış Manço’s elder brother. Invited by Ayhan, he came to hear the band and honour his late brother’s music, turning the event into a memorable celebration for both the band and the audience.
During his time with the band, Georges performed on the violin and also played the Stroh violin, which had recently become part of his instrument collection.
